The Latin American Cultural Initiative is a successful new collaboration between Callanwolde and the Latin American Association. Callanwolde provides bilingual art teachers to bring visual arts education to economically disadvantaged Latin American children. The Cultural Initiative takes place at the Latin American Association through an after school and summer camp program. The program culminates in an art show that features the work of students for families and the community.
The Latin American community is the fastest growing ethnic group in the United States. Callanwolde is proud of this collaboration because we believe that the visual arts positively impact communities in educational, social and entertaining ways.
