Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is located between the Virginia-Highland and Druid Hills neighborhoods of Atlanta, approximately 2 miles east of Midtown. Situated on 12 acres of lush, landscaped grounds on Briarcliff Road, Callanwolde is only 1 mile from Emory University and approximately 3 miles west of Decatur. Other points of interest near Callanwolde are The Carter Center (1 mile), Fernbank Museum of Natural History (1 mile), Atlanta Botanical Gardens and Piedmont Park (2 miles), and The Fox Theatre (2 miles).
The Callanwolde mansion and grounds are open 9:00 am to 10:00 pm weekdays and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. The mansion is closed on Sundays and holidays unless there is a special event.
Admission is FREE for self-guided tours except during special arts events. For group tours, please call 404-872-5338 to set up a time. Free on-site parking is available in the parking lot at the rear of the arts center property.

Driving Directions
From Interstate 85:
Take the North Druid Hills Road exit (# 89). Travel south (toward Decatur and Emory University) on North Druid Hills Road and continue approximately 1/2 mile to the third intersection and traffic light at Briarcliff Road. Turn right on to Briarcliff Road and continue south on Briarcliff Road for approximately 3 miles. The entrance to Callanwolde will be on the right.
From Interstate 75/85 South (Downtown Connector):
Take the North Avenue exit (#249D). Travel east on North Avenue toward Peachtree Street. Continue on North Avenue through the Peachtree Street intersection for approximately 1.5 miles until you come to the intersection with Moreland Avenue. Turn left on to Moreland Avenue (which becomes Briarcliff Road at Ponce de Leon Avenue). Continue on Briarcliff Road through the intersection at Ponce de Leon for approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to Callanwolde will be on the left.
From Interstate 75/85 North (Downtown Connector):
Take the Freedom Parkway exit (#248C). Continue on the parkway until it dead-ends at Ponce de Leon Avenue. Turn right on to Ponce de Leon Ave. and continue east (toward Decatur) for approximately 3/4 mile until you get to the intersection with Briarcliff Road. Turn left on to Briarcliff Road and continue north on Briarcliff approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to Callanwolde will be on the left.
From Downtown Atlanta:
Get on the Freedom Parkway and continue on the parkway until it dead-ends at Ponce de Leon Avenue. Turn right on to Ponce de Leon Ave. and continue east (toward Decatur) for approximately 3/4 mile until you get to the intersection with Briarcliff Road. Turn left on to Briarcliff Road and continue north on Briarcliff approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to Callanwolde will be on the left.
From Interstate 20:
Take the Moreland Avenue exit (#60A/B). Travel north on Moreland Avenue (toward Midtown Atlanta) for approximately 4 miles until you get to the intersection with Ponce de Leon Avenue. Moreland Avenue becomes Briarcliff Road at this intersection. Continue straight on Briarcliff Road for approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to Callanwolde will be on the left.
From Decatur & Stone Mountain:
Take Scott Blvd. (U.S. 78) west until it turns into Ponce de Leon Avenue. Continue west on Ponce de Leon Avenue through the Druid Hills neighborhood toward downtown Atlanta. At the intersection with Moreland Avenue/Briarcliff Road, turn right on to Briarcliff Road. Travel north on Briarcliff Road for approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to Callanwolde will be on the left.
From the Edgewood/Candler Park (E4) Station:
Take Bus #6 (Emory Route). There is a bus stop directly in front of the entrance to Callanwolde on Briarcliff Road.
From the Lindbergh (NE4) Station:
Take Bus #6 (Emory Route). There is a bus stop directly in front of the entrance to Callanwolde on Briarcliff Road.
